"I can remember as a child I loved to look at the chalkboards
after they had been erased - left behind were shadows and
highlights of chalk residue on the black slate.
These interesting patterns became images to me and
captured my attention.
When I paint I allow the medium to flow freely,
creating interesting patterns formed from the
elements of color, texture, highlights and shadows.
When you view my work, look at the title last.
Look at the shapes and hues and how they
interact or seem disjoined on the canvas.
Become a child viewing a chalkboard
— and enjoy."
